Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team at YK Freightways Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to track shipments and personnel activities
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations to optimize dispatching and logistics
  • Provide critical information to vehicle operators regarding traffic and other issues affecting delivery
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring seamless coordination
  • Track and record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses for vehicles
  • Process and transmit information to coordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Reliability and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
