Job Title: Snowplough Operator, Highway

We are seeking a skilled Snowplough Operator to join our team at Emcon Services Inc. as a Highway Maintenance Worker.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various vehicles and equipment, including snowploughs, to maintain safe and efficient highway conditions during winter months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate snowploughs and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from highways
  • Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
  • Work in a cold, noisy, and potentially hazardous environment
  • Meet deadlines and work under pressure to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) or equivalent experience
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing weather conditions
