Strategic Manufacturing Performance Improvement Consultant

Talan is a leading consulting firm specializing in innovation and transformation through technology, with a strong focus on the manufacturing sector. As a Senior Consultant, Manufacturing Improvement Performance, you will be part of a dynamic team that advises companies and public authorities on their transformation and innovation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering or operations and logistics management, with 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing strategy consulting. They will also have a proven track record of consulting experience, with in-depth knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing management principles and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop business diagnostics and recommend operational orientations to improve our customers' competitiveness;
- Develop recommendations based on Lean Manufacturing techniques and best business practices;
- Present analysis results and key recommendations to client company executives;
- Implement and monitor optimized manufacturing solutions;
- Develop communication plans for employees affected by the change;
- Participate in activities related to the preparation of work plans and service offers.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in industrial engineering or operations and logistics management;
- 6-10 years' experience in manufacturing or manufacturing strategy consulting;
- Consulting experience (an important asset);
- In-depth knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing management principles and tools;
- Experience and knowledge in project management and/or program management;
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate strategic/tactical workshops;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS-Excel, Power Point and Word and Ms Project;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English;
- Willingness to travel for projects in the province of Quebec.
