The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a vital member of our home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator. Their primary responsibilities include performing various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as AM and PM care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.">
  • Accompany clients on outings and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.">
  • Prepare medication reminders and assist clients with ambulation and transportation.">
  • Fulfill other tasks as necessary to support the client's care plan.">

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • ">
  • A Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the school).">
  • Current CPR/First Aid training.">
  • A current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen, or be willing to obtain one.">
  • A negative TB skin test or chest x-ray result.">
  • Access to the internet/mobile phone.">
  • Prior experience working with clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is an asset.">
