About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Canadian Sofa Solution Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and use measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create precise and durable structures.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Personal Qualities
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong client focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 30-40 hour workweek.
  • Proficiency in English as the primary language of communication.
