About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team in Markham, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new structures, inspecting and evaluating existing structures, and rehabilitating existing structures projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site inspection, analysis, and condition assessment of existing structures.
  • Perform construction and life cycle cost estimates.
  • Assist with planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures.
  • Perform analysis and design calculations according to applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate.
  • Prepare plan drawings and details.
  • Assist in preparation of construction specifications.
  • Perform material quantity take-offs.
  • Organize design calculations; and assist with project construction administration, including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Designation obtained, or will be obtained soon.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Bridge Inspection experience OSIM.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software.
  • Familiar with Bentley's MicroStation.
  • Proficient with MS Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
