About the Role

AB Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our team. As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. You will also verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments and prepare etching solution for metal parts or workpieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • Clean and maintain work space
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Provides visual accessibility accommodations (for example: braille, screen readers, etc.)
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)
  • Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers

This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
