Sandhu Drywall Ltd is seeking an experienced Drywall Technician to join our team. As a key member of our installation and finishing crew, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality drywall installation and finishing.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with experience in applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster. They will also possess excellent hand-eye coordination and be physically capable of performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise other workers on the job site
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to ensure a seamless finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train for more advanced skills

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
