Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 based on industry standards and location.

Job Description:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy-duty equipment. This includes using various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment to complete daily tasks and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and repairing diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks
  • Using power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment
  • Completing daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts
  • Scheduling repairs and procuring parts
  • Assisting in reviewing mechanical write-ups and coordinating repair schedules

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
  • 1+ year experience as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
  • Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
  • Able to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
  • Willingsness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job duties
  • Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
