Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain high-quality standards
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment, to enhance the overall cleaning experience
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient use of resources

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a janitorial or cleaning services environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of cleaners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic security clearance and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • A combination of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
