Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team at Kinectrics. As a Mechanical Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for performing lab and field tests, preparing technical reports, and responding to customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine investigations and technical studies for customers in the field of mechanical engineering.
  • Conduct inspections of products and document findings on inspection forms.
  • Perform lab and field tests using standard techniques and provide support in laboratory or field environments.
  • Test products to approved procedures using measurement and test equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork to support our QA program.
  • Support design, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Participate in the analysis of test results and data.
  • Write reports of a routine nature and prepare records.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School in technical studies or equivalent.
  • Up to 5 years related experience or equivalent advanced education in field of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Millwright, or similar.
  • Experience using modern test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical devices, testing, and pressurized systems.
  • Good computer skills for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of QA principles and safety practices.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be granted nuclear site security clearance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
