Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a specialist paediatric radiologist to join our team of professionals at Head Medical in Hamilton City. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of our busy paediatric service within the hospital.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be either registered or eligible for vocational registration within the scope of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand. The role includes reporting of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit imaging, participation in multidisciplinary paediatric meetings/image conferences, MRI & CT paediatric reporting, and teaching of registrars as well as generalist reporting.

Radiology has undergone exciting changes, including a newly rebuilt state-of-the-art facility with modern equipment. We are growing the service to meet demand and focused on creating and maintaining a welcoming and flexible work environment for all staff.

Benefits

This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary between $250,000 and $300,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have opportunities to become involved in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, or explore fellowship specialities. Additionally, you will be part of a Level-1 trauma centre and one of New Zealand's largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres.
