About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Fitter to join our team at General Machinery & Cutter Inc. as an Industrial Machinery Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting heavy industrial machinery, ensuring high-quality products that meet our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting and Assembling: Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery, ensuring precise alignment and secure fastening.
  • Component Installation: Install major components such as gears, pumps, motors, or hydraulic assemblies, following manufacturer instructions and company protocols.
  • Quality Control: Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of industrial machinery assembly and fitting.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
