Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Food Service Aide to join our client's team in their long-term care and rehabilitation facility. As a Food Service Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a safe and healthy food environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in meal preparation and serving, adhering to a set menu and ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports of transactions and ensure proper storage of food according to kitchen policies.
  • Create and manage dietary menus for residents, taking into account individual needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment and dining areas.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless meal service and patient satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess or be willing to acquire Level 1 Food Safety Certification and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Show physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and lift heavy objects safely.
  • Possess a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and patience when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, able to multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits
