About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Store Team Leader to join our team at Alberta LTD. o/a Cannabis Queen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading and guiding teams, handling day-to-day store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed, to ensure seamless day-to-day store operations.
  • Assign sales workers to various duties, taking into account their skills and abilities, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Hire, train, or arrange training for new staff members, ensuring they meet our high standards and expectations.
  • Authorise payments by cheque, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
  • Exhibit designers will plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other events.
  • Order merchandise, manage inventory levels, and authorise returns when necessary.
  • Establish work schedules, balancing employee needs with business requirements.
  • Sell merchandise, promoting products and services to customers while meeting sales targets.
  • Pursue reports on sales volumes, merchandising strategies, and personnel matters to inform decision-making.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other challenges.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, using tools and software to track stock levels and prevent losses.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Manage cash, handling transactions and maintaining accuracy in all financial dealings.

Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in retail management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Outlook, with proficiency in other computer software relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of product packaging, exhibit and display design, merchandising, or visual displays would be beneficial.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
  • An exceptional client focus, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Benefits and Perks


We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
