We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Assistant to join our team at House of Diesel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting our tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in various tasks related to heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
Area of Specialization:
  • Heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Experience:
  • Will train the right candidate.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • We participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • We assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • We support social and labour market integration through language training, skills training, and access to community resources.
  • We recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disasters.
  • We support foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs.
Support for Youth:
  • We participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • We provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • We participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • We offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • We develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • We provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • We participate in government or community programs that support visible minorities.
  • We apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minorities.
  • We offer mentorship programs that pair visible minorities with experienced employees.
