We are seeking an experienced painter to join our team at Terry Pro Painters Ltd. as a Construction Painter. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, repairing cracks and holes, advising customers on colours and choice of wall coverings, and applying paint and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have experience working outdoors at heights, with odours, and in various locations. They will also have a strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colours. Additionally, they should be physically demanding and able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). The position requires owning transportation and being willing to travel.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning and sanding them
  • Repair cracks and holes in surfaces
  • Advise customers on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Maintain equipment and machinery
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a painter
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Strong physical abilities, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
What We Offer
