Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Service Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they have followed necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and care.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen collection data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders through excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
