About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Enterprise Audit Practice at KPMG-Canada. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading our audit teams and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
  • Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing the business plan and contributing to the development of new services.
  • Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and drive business growth.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
  • Help clients reach solutions to their needs by providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Work with clients and partners through complex accounting issues to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Apply KPMG-Canada's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring consistency and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5-8+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience with reporting standards ASPE and ASNPO required.
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, derived from your dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong team player, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional accounting firm experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong mentoring and performance management skills.
