Job Summary
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our exceptional team as a Staff Housing Caretaker at Sun Peaks Resort. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the cleanliness of all common areas within our Staff Housing complex. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a significant impact on our guests' experience.
Main Responsibilities
As a Staff Housing Caretaker, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including:
- Conducting daily cleaning and housekeeping duties in all common areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and window washing
- Identifying and addressing any maintenance issues or concerns in a timely and efficient manner
- Reporting to the Facilities Manager and receiving daily task instructions from the Staff Housing Supervisor
- Maintaining accurate logs and recording of areas that have been cleaned and maintaining a schedule of regular cleaning
- Performing light maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, door locks, and more as needed
- Assisting with furniture and appliance removal and replacement
- Utilizing proper signage to indicate wet flooring or other potentially hazardous situations
- Ensuring any repairs noticed during cleaning duties are reported to maintenance via CMMS promptly
- Ensuring cleaning tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion
- Maintaining and ensuring all safety standards and procedures in the workplace
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for maintaining safe and clean environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift and move heavy loads (up to 20 kg)
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
