Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Participate in technical consultations to inform design, development, and testing of new solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improved technology solutions
  • Estimate, task, and participate in agile work ceremonies
  • Adopt and evolve team development practices
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence and leadership skills

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in information technology, developing and supporting applications
  • Strong Java, Unix shell skills, and experience working in Eclipse-based environments
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, Git repositories, and SQL databases
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts and implementation
  • Familiarity with network, LAN, TCP/IP, security, and communication protocol concepts
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
