Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Stock Transportation. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with our fleet of buses and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in diesel engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex issues and improve overall efficiency
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy duty mechanics, with a focus on diesel engines and electrical systems
  • Certification in heavy duty mechanics, such as 310T or 310S
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computerized diagnostics and repair software
  • Knowledge of fleet management systems and procedures
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
