About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at New Creation Christian Child Care Center. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, while encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
