Job Title: Child Care Worker Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team at Birds & Blossoms Daycare Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare centre and ensuring the well-being of our children.

Job Summary:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes engaging children in activities, maintaining daycare equipment, and assisting with housekeeping and cooking duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs for children
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, and putting children to bed
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the daycare centre
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
