About the Role:
CIMA Canada Inc is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead our institutional projects team. As a key member of our building mechanicals department, you will be responsible for managing large-scale projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead institutional projects, including schools and hospitals, from conceptualization to completion
- Act as a technical reference and mentor to junior employees, sharing knowledge and expertise in building mechanicals
- Coordinate team members and professionals to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
- Ensure accurate drawings and specifications, and confirm contract monitoring, including budgets
- Develop and implement methods, procedures, and tools to increase quality, optimize work methods, and enhance productivity
- Collaborate with clients to solve technical and budgetary issues, and ensure effective communication and presentation skills
- Manage human resources, including hiring, performance evaluations, and salary reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experience
- Portfolio of diversified institutional building projects, primarily schools and hospitals
- Experience in consulting engineering, private, public, or semi-public building sectors
- In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and excellent budget monitoring skills
- Proven project management abilities and strong technical credibility
