Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Shawarma on Wheels. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our customers and staff.
  • Requisition Food and Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and train a team of food service staff to ensure they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure staff have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation to minimize waste and ensure we meet customer demand.
  • Hire Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality standards.
  • Budgeting: Prepare and manage the budget for the food service department to ensure we are operating within our means.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
