Early Career Mechanical Engineer

Framatome is seeking a talented Early Career Mechanical Engineer to join our Canadian team. Key Responsibilities- Under direct supervision, this role includes standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks in support of Nuclear Facilities.
- Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting complete tasks or portions of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.
- Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, and maintaining structures, systems, and components.
- Provides engineering advice, as needed.
- Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
- Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
- Ensures compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards.
- May independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Works on special projects, as directed.
- Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
- Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
- Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.

Requirements- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with the PEO.
- 0-2 years of experience in an engineering role.
- Nuclear Site Access Security Clearance will be required prior to start of work.
- Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study.
- Experience with 3D Modeling & Engineering Analysis Software (e.g ANSYS, SolidWorks, Autopipe, PIPESTRESS, CAESAR II).
- Engineering Codes and Standards (i.e. ASME B31.1, ASME BPVC).
- Hands on engineering experience.
- Python Programming knowledge is a benefit.
- Experience with Customer Relations or Customer service.
