Job Title: Senior Associate

Join Scotiabank's Technology Innovation Banking team as a Senior Associate and contribute to the overall success of our business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, growing, and managing a portfolio of clients operating in the technology and innovation segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of business strategies and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial solutions and products.
  • Manage and control loan portfolios to ensure they are at an acceptable level of risk and generate an appropriate return.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of the technology and innovation segments.
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with entrepreneurs in the tech space.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and demands.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, technology, sciences, or related work experience.
  • Professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA, or CVB) or MBA is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:

Work in a standard office-based environment with non-standard hours. Frequent travel within the assigned geography is required to execute on sales calling programs. The incumbent is expected to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions with changing priorities and demands.

Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to be able to communicate in English and French as they will serve English-speaking clientele.
