Cabinetmaker - Woodworking Specialist

At SGM WOODWORKING INC., we are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinetmaking, with the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the type of material and tools required for the job.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood components to create cabinets, drawers, and other furniture pieces.
- Use hand tools and power tools to trim joints, fit parts together, and sand wooden surfaces.
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products to enhance their appearance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Supervise other workers and ensure that they are following safety protocols and regulations.
- Estimate costs and materials required for the job, ensuring that the project is completed within budget.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, including joinery, finishing, and safety protocols. They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
