Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Worker to join our team at David Vos Farms Ltd. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our farm, including crop cultivation, animal care, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent disease
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time to ensure quality and quantity
  • Feed and tend to animals, ensuring their health and well-being
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Detect and address disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Staff accommodation available for remote location
  • Willing to relocate
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding with repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Work Environment

Our farm is located in a remote area, and we offer staff accommodation for those who need it. We are willing to relocate the right candidate. The work environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. However, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package to make up for it.
