Youth Mental Health Specialist

The Gang Trauma Counsellor will provide short-term trauma counselling support and case management for 360°kids' clients, including at-risk youth and families. This role is responsible for delivering individual and group counselling sessions, as well as providing community-based mental health trauma counselling supports to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to clients, focusing on personal and social development, and reintegration of young adults with their families or transitioning to independent living.
- Conduct assessments and intake interviews with clients in various locations, including virtual platforms, low-income settings, and hostels.
- Develop and implement approved strategies and plans to achieve program goals and objectives, in collaboration with the Team Leader Gang Intervention Program and Manager Youth Clinical Services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in social work or psychology.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with at-risk youth and/or street-involved people.
- Clinical trauma training and experience in individual and family assessment and treatment.
- Experience working with Young Adults (18-30 yrs.) involved in gangs or guns activities would be an asset.
