We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Toronto. As an experienced professional in the commercial and institutional construction sector, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for ICI projects.

About the Role
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for ICI projects, encompassing commercial and institutional construction, and analyze project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to produce accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and requirements, and conduct site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to gather essential project information.
  • Maintain and update a cost information database and historical data for reference, and review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimate reports to management and clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the process.

The Perfect Candidate
  • A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with proven experience as an estimator in the commercial or institutional construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of ICI project specifications and industry standards, proficiency in cost estimation software and tools, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately, strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams, and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
