Concurrent Disorders Healthcare Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Concurrent Disorders Nurse to join our team in North Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with moderate to severe substance use issues, including co-occurring mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver concurrent nursing care to clients, working within an interdisciplinary team and as part of a broader integrated system.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to address the complex needs of clients.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).Two years' recent, related nursing experience in community mental health, substance use intervention, or mental health housing.Knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client and family-centered model of care.Familiarity with BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice and evidence-based nursing practice related to substance abuse treatment.
