Job Opportunity: Montessori Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Montessori teacher to join our team at Simply Smart Child Care Centre & Montessori in Iroquois. As a Montessori teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of our students;
  • Establish a prepared environment that promotes independence, self-directed learning, and socialization;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with Montessori principles;
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school;
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in Montessori education;
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes social responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Montessori certification (MACTE or AMI) and a minimum of one year of experience working with children in a Montessori environment;
  • Standard First Aid CPR C+ certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Immunization up to date, including a 2-step TB test;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
