Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Port Coquitlam (Head Office). The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings, including performing routine tasks, coordinating with service partners, and addressing building-related requests and complaints.

In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, store staff, and colleagues, to effectively resolve maintenance issues and unforeseen problems. You will also be responsible for maintaining a daily log of work/maintenance, ordering supplies as needed, and interacting with trades and internal stakeholders to perform maintenance and repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player, self-motivated and proactive thinker with a track record of success
  • Flexible and great attitude working in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull or carry up to 50lbs
  • Good communication skills and basic computer abilities
  • Good knowledge of basic hand and power tools
  • Experience with framing, drywall, concrete, plumbing, and painting is an asset
  • Knowledge of construction management and building maintenance practices is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence with clean drivers abstract
  • Possession of Trades Certification is preferred
