Job Title: Dozer Operator

Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our team at the Kearl Oil Sands Site.

Job Summary:

As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, specifically dozers, in a safe and efficient manner. You will work closely with the Project Team Lead and General Foreman to accomplish project goals and day-to-day objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain dozers in a safe and efficient manner to meet operational deadlines.
  • Regulate height and angle of the blade to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and walk-around inspections prior to operating equipment.
  • Operate dozers on various surfaces to raise or lower terrain, including reclamation, ditching, sloping, levelling, ripping, pushing piles, and clean-up support.
  • Operate dozers in close proximity to other vehicles, ground personnel, and utilities.
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance required.
  • Adhere to all Fort McKay Group of Companies policies and procedures, wear/maintain all PPE, and complete any Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLRA) and control hazards related to the scope of work.
  • Assist Labourers or other Operators as needed.
  • Perform any related and/or additional construction duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Retention of a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • 3-year Drivers Abstract.
  • Experience with D8 to D10 dozers.
  • CSTS and OSSA or BSO or CSO certification.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English.
