We are currently seeking a bilingual (French/English) Senior Lease Analyst to join our team.

About the Role

The Senior Lease Analyst is responsible for extracting key information from lease agreements, maintaining the integrity of lease data within the lease management database, and processing monthly rental payments on behalf of landlords and tenants. This role requires providing guidance to less experienced team members and working collaboratively with all key departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and mandated by law.
  • Lease Abstracting: Review lease agreements, extract key information, and enter and maintain lease agreement information within the lease management database.
  • Rent Payment Processing: Process monthly rent payments and ad-hoc payments on behalf of the client, prepare monthly rent roll reports, make adjustments to rent information, and pay retroactive payments.
  • Additional Rent Review: Conduct annual review of operating costs budget increases, compare forecast against historical information, verify reasons for proposed budget increases, and provide recommendations for annual operating costs budget increases.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college/university degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent training.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Lease Administration, Real Estate Accounting, or Property Management with exposure to commercial leases.
  • Experience with using a lease administration database preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex commercial lease language.
  • Advanced financial/analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
