Operating Room Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
Medecins Sans Frontieres is seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the activities of the Operating Room, sterilization unit, and anesthetic recovery area.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan the activities of the Operating Room, sterilization unit, and anesthetic recovery area.
- Monitor quality and hygiene in the Operating Room.
- Supervise and train staff.
- Support with policy development.
- Participate in data collection and reporting.
Requirements
- Full and current registration as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
- Minimum two years relevant post-qualification work experience.
- Experience in providing pre- and post-operative care.
- At least six months of clinical experience within the last two years.
- Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team.
- Excellent command of English, as well as French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish).
- Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works.
- Available to work 6 to 9 months.
Assets
- Relevant OR experience in pediatrics, maternity, trauma, and orthopedic surgery.
- Experience in sterilization procedures (e.g. autoclave).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel).
