The Role

As a Senior Structural Assessment Professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing building science projects. Working independently, you will oversee a variety of tasks, including some building condition assessments, construction administration, and reserve fund studies. You'll have the opportunity to mentor a junior associate and receive guidance from senior specialists, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with the potential to establish a local office as the business grows. You'll be instrumental in shaping the company's culture and operational processes, contributing to the booming market in Halifax and surrounding areas. Your expertise in building envelope systems and strong soft skills will be key to delivering tailored solutions to clients and driving the company's success.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in building science, with 5 years preferred.">
  • A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation, or ability to gain.">
  • Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, including windows, walls, and other structural components.">
  • Excellent soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and client relationship management.">
  • An ability to work independently and remotely, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.">
  • Experience in project management and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.">
  • Familiarity with the local market and industry trends in Halifax and surrounding areas.">
