We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Operations Lead to join our team at a prestigious commercial property. The ideal candidate will oversee all building systems, manage a team of engineers, and ensure optimal performance of facility operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct and assign preventative maintenance work orders to the building mechanical team, ensuring timely completion and effective resolution of issues.
  2. Collaborate with the mechanical supervisor to provide clear direction on materials needed and contractor assistance requests.
  3. Conduct daily inspections of the building's mechanical and electrical systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for various duties and tasks related to building mechanical equipment.
  5. Maintain accurate records of mechanical readings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitor contractors' performance, providing feedback and guidance to optimize efficiency and quality.
  7. Ensure daily log books are maintained and up-to-date by the mechanical team.
Requirements
  • A valid BC or Inter-Provincial 4th Class Power Engineer's Certificate is mandatory; additional certifications like Refrigeration or Electrical TQ are considered an asset.
  • 12+ years of experience in HVAC control systems, with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proven leadership skills, with prior experience managing a team and developing SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A valid BC Driver's Licence is required for this role.
