Engineering Technician Role
Join our collaborative office environment and take on the challenge of being an essential link between design, construction engineering, drawing, and graphical production. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D graphical models using Autodesk and Bentley software. Your expertise in engineering design procedures and principles will enable you to communicate complex solutions effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Produce graphical models based on sketches, schedules, and reports
• Develop tunnel engineering knowledge to communicate engineering solutions in graphical terms
• Conduct initial quality checks on drawing sheets and submittals
• Involvement in developing engineering concepts and bringing drawings to construction approval stage

Required Skills:
• Sound knowledge of engineering design procedures and principles
• Good problem-solving skills
• High proficiency with 3D AutoCAD and/or Revit and/or MicroStation and/or Open Buildings Designer
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and manage workload and meet deadlines
• Proven attention to detail and quality, including adherence to ISO procedures

Education and Qualifications:
• Graduate from a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology Program (Civil/Structural preferred)
• High proficiency with 3D AutoCAD and/or Revit and/or MicroStation and/or Open Buildings Designer, ideally demonstrated by a portfolio of work
• Interest in a long-term career in underground engineering, with a goal to pursue further engineering and graphical design education to potentially achieve a P.Eng. designation
• Previous work experience in the heavy civils industry as a designer or support engineer
• Eligible to work in Canada. Candidates without a valid work permit will not be considered
