About Columbia Thermal

Columbia Thermal is seeking a skilled Insulation Supervisor to join our team. As an Insulation Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of insulators and overseeing the installation of thermal insulation in various settings.

Job Summary

The Insulation Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all insulation work is completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget. This includes supervising a team of insulators, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE A TEAM OF INSULATORS: Lead a team of insulators in the installation of thermal insulation in construction, maintenance, and installation settings.
  • MANAGE PROJECTS AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS: Coordinate with clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to their satisfaction.
  • ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH SAFETY PROTOCOLS: Ensure that all insulation work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in insulation or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work Setting

The Insulation Supervisor will work in a variety of settings, including:

  • Construction sites.
  • Maintenance facilities.
  • Installation sites.

Tasks

The Insulation Supervisor will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Selecting the type of insulation required.
  • Instructing apprentices.
  • Measuring and cutting insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
  • Supervising other workers.
  • Fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
