Key Responsibilities
  • Hauling Oversized Equipment: Safely transport oversized equipment to various locations, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload heavy equipment, ensuring proper securing and stability.
  • Transport Planning: Read and understand transport plans to ensure obstacle-free routes and accessibility.
  • Tractor Trailer Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble, configure, and disassemble tractor trailers as required.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Regularly inspect all systems to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Load Securing: Ensure all transports are within load limits and correctly secured.
  • Pilot Operations: Pilot over-dimensional loads, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Transport Operations:
  • Toolbox and Safety Meetings: Attend toolbox and safety meetings, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience hauling oversized heavy equipment, including trailers and hydraulic platform trailers.
  • License and Certifications: Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean abstract, CSTS, WHMIS, and TDG certifications.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in English, ability to remain alert and focused, time management skills, good judgment, and ability to react quickly in emergency situations.
  • Education: High school completion is required.
