Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Child and Youth Care Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students in the field of Child and Youth Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for students.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, labs, and work placements, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including online resources, to support student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and assessments.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Child and Youth Care, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching practice.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Master's degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience working with children and youth in a educational or social services setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology and instructional methods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
