Job Summary

We are seeking a Food Production Worker to join our team at CBCo Alliance Inc. in an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and development.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in food production, handling raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials. You will also be required to clean machines and work areas, as well as perform quality checks on products and packaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food production processes, including transportation of raw materials and finished products
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and transport them to storage areas
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and report any issues to supervisors
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Work Environment

You will be working in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment, which may involve exposure to odours, heat, cold, and wet/damp conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Benefits include a dental plan, disability benefits, and free parking available. As per collective agreement, you will also receive financial benefits and other perks.
