Forklift Operator Job Details

Job Title: Freight Handler - Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Job Summary: Randstad Canada is currently hiring for a Freight Handler - Counterbalance Forklift Operator position at one of our esteemed clients specializing in international exports and imports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Verify documentation matches freight description.
  • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
  • Recoup and repair damaged freight when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Forklift operation experience is required.
  • Valid forklift certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry hand freight of varying weights.
  • Previous dock/warehouse experience is preferred.
