Jim Dent Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our heavy civil construction projects in Northern British Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall project performance, including costs, schedule, quality assurance, project status, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, identifying risks and developing contingency plans.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and requirements.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, resolving issues and managing client expectations.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Provide strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths.
  • Financial Management
    • Maintain, track, and report all financial aspects of the project, including forecasts and billings.
  • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in an Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and lead a team.
  • Minimum 5 years of previous heavy civil construction management experience.
  • Effective communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written, and electronic form.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
