We are seeking a reliable and experienced nanny to join our team at Daniel Becker. As a nanny, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Cook
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Child welfare check
  • Criminal record check
  • Drug test

Working Conditions

The nanny will work in a non-smoking, scent-free environment in the employer's home. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Language

The work language is English or French.

Work Hours

The nanny will work 40 hours per week.

Security and Safety

The employer requires a Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam, and Basic security clearance.

Transportation

Public transportation is available.

Weight Handling

The nanny will be required to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Personal Suitability

The employer is looking for a nanny with excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, patience, and honesty.
