About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst to join our team at TownSuite Municipal Software. As a key member of our implementation team, you will play a critical role in assisting our growing company with the implementation of our Financial modules of our core TownSuite mERP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and analyze data, reports, and other crucial implementation information from client configuration, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Verify that legacy processes and information are correctly inputted within TownSuite, utilizing gathered reports, databases, and other collected information.
  • Compare and validate data between legacy and TownSuite reports, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Review project progress with clients at key milestones, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, meeting benchmarks and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with our team and clients to transition from legacy systems to TownSuite mERP applications, focusing on Financial and other Finance-driven modules.
  • Participate in meetings, reporting on project progress and providing technical expertise as required.
  • Document and modify implementation procedures as necessary, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assist clients with module training and provide support during the go-live phase.
  • Discuss concerns or additional information required with clients, team members, and project managers.
  • Track time spent on projects, including each module, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Focus on assigned projects, addressing any unrectified outliers promptly.
Requirements
  • Strong financial analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience in Local Government Administration, Accounting, Asset Management, Recreation, Human Resources, Municipal Government Finance, Inspections, Land management, Recreation, facility, and Event management is an asset.
  • ERP application knowledge and ETL process understanding are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, GitHub, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Google G Suite is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn TownSuite Municipal mERP and adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
