At GS Construction Company, we are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker - Woodworking Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components. Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage, shaping surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, and studying plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
